Manuscripts Evaluation
Manuscripts for revisions are returned to the authors, and their responses may be further
reviewed by the reviewers and editorial team. This process may continue until the editors
are convinced that the manuscript has met the irreducible minimum of quality. The final
decision on acceptance or rejection is done by the editorial team (editor-in-chief,
deputy editor-in-chief, managing editor, associate editors), on the recommendation of the
reviewers.
Criteria for Acceptance
- Clearly written English language that affords understanding of concepts and
reproducibility of experimental procedures
- Sound scientific protocols
- Novelty
- Compliance with ethical requirements
- Plagiarism score of less than 15%
Criteria for Rejection
- Poorly written manuscripts that are beyond editorial corrections
- Poor scientific content and data presentation
- Lack of novelty or originality
- Failure to meet ethical standards
- Plagiarism score greater than 15%
Appeals after Rejection
Following rejection, an appeal may be considered if, in the opinion of the editorial team,
there was an initial error of judgment or if the deficiencies noted previously have been
remedied.
